The Data Controller for this website is James Goatley, trading as Digital Editions Web Design.
You can contact us at enquiries@digitaleditionsdesign.co.uk.
2. What personal data we collect
We collect the following data when you submit our contact form:
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone number (optional)
- The content of your message
Our hosting provider (Vercel) also records server logs which include your IP address and the pages you visit. These logs are retained for 90 days.
3. Why we collect it and the legal basis
We collect your contact details to respond to your enquiry. The legal basis for processing this data is legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR) — it is in both your interest and ours to be able to follow up on a message you have chosen to send us.
4. How long we keep your data
Enquiry data submitted via the contact form is retained for up to two years. After that period, it is deleted from our records.

We do not sell or rent your data. We use the following third-party services:
- Resend — used to deliver email notifications when you submit the contact form. Resend processes your name, email address, and message content.
- Vercel — our hosting provider. Your IP address and browser information pass through Vercel's infrastructure and are logged briefly as part of normal server operation.
- Plausible Analytics — we use Plausible to understand how people find and use this site. Plausible is cookie-free and does not collect any personal data or track you across sites.

- Ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Ask us to delete your data (the right to erasure)
- Ask us to restrict how we process your data
- Object to our processing of your data
- Request a portable copy of your data
To exercise any of these rights, email us at enquiries@digitaleditionsdesign.co.uk. We will respond within 30 days.
7. How to complain
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
